Private by design

Questions, answered

Before you upload.

Which PDFs work best?

Text-based PDFs with clear headings, paragraphs, and lists work best. Complex tables, multi-column layouts, and highly visual brochures may need manual cleanup.

Does Plainmark support scanned PDFs?

Not yet. Plainmark does not currently run OCR, so image-only scans may produce little or no text.

What happens to images?

Embedded images are extracted when possible and linked from the generated Markdown. Review image placement before exporting.

Can I edit the result?

Yes. Edit the Markdown directly in the review workspace, switch to preview, copy it, or export it as an .md file.

Is there a file size limit?

Yes. Each PDF can be up to 50 MB.
